The possibilities are endless when it comes to designing a float for the 2017 Pacific High School homecoming parade.

The annual procession through downtown Pacific will take place Saturday, Sept. 30, beginning at 10 a.m.

The theme is Once Upon a Homecoming, with a salute to the hundreds of animated characters that make up the world of Disney.

The parade flyer shows the magic castle at Disneyland and photos of eight Disney characters. If you take a visit to the Disney website, it reveals many possibilities, which is what parade organizers intended.

Ed Kappeler, who was named both the Meramec Valley School District and South Central District 2017 teacher of the year, will be the grand marshal.

As in the past, the homecoming court will ride in convertibles.

Stacy Scoggin, Student Council and homecoming parade sponsor, is currently inviting entries in the parade. Float and nonfloat entries are welcome.

Trophies will be awarded to judged floats that indicate on their entry forms that they want to enter into the judging contest.
