Plans are underway for the 2018 Pacific Power of the Purse to be held Thursday, March 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the Pacific Eagles Hall, 707 W. Congress.
Dennis Oliver, event chair, said the committee hopes this year’s event will be the biggest yet.
“The Eagles is donating the hall for the benefit, which can accommodate 400 and can help us grow the Pacific event,” Oliver said.
The cost to attend is $25 per person or $200 for a table of eight, which includes a light dinner and drinks.
All proceeds will benefit the Franklin County Area United Way.
The committee hopes to attract more than the 240 patrons who attended last year.
“It’s not a competition, but we want Pacific to be among the top earners,” Oliver said. “We’re hoping for a big turnout.”
Tickets can be purchased at the Chamber office, 333 Chamber Drive; Citizens Bank, 2245 W. Osage; or Dennis Oliver American Family Insurance, 250 Lamar Parkway.
