Organizers of the March 17 St. Patrick’s Day Parade are accepting floats and other entries for the event.
The Pacific Downtown Merchants Association and Pacific Tourism are hosting the parade.
Aldermen Carol Johnson and Larry Mueller are the co-chairs.
The cost to enter is $15 for a float and $10 for a car or for walkers.
Little Ireland Coffee, 125 N. First St., will host a before-parade party beginning at 9 a.m. The Devine Irish Trio will perform live music.
Maria Brennan, Little Ireland Coffee owner/operator, will be the grand marshal. Bagpiper Matt Pantaleoni also will return to participate in the parade.
The parade lineup begins at 9:30 p.m. at the Meramec Valley Middle School. The parade will start at 10:30 a.m.
It will proceed on Union Street; south on Sixth Street; east on St. Louis Street; north on First Street; and west on Union Street; returning to the starting point.
Floats will be judged and ribbons awarded to the first-, second- and third-place entries.
An after-parade celebration is planned in the basement of the former First Baptist Church building at St. Louis and Sixth Streets. Beginning at noon, Roy Anderson and the Experience will perform live music.
