There is still time to design and enter a float in the 2017 Pacific High School homecoming parade.

The annual procession through Downtown Pacific will take place Saturday, Sept. 30, beginning at 10 a.m.

The theme of this year’s parade is Once Upon a Homecoming, with a salute to the hundreds of animated characters that make up the world of Disney.

Ed Kappeler, Meramec Valley R-III School District and South Central District 2017 teacher of the year, will be the grand marshal.

The homecoming court will ride in convertibles.

Stacy Scoggin, Student Council and homecoming parade sponsor, is currently seeking entries for the parade. Float and non-float entries are welcome.

Trophies will be awarded to groups that want to enter into the judging contest. To receive a parade entry form contact sscoggin@mvr3.k12.mo.us.

Lineup will begin at 9 a.m. at the Meramec Valley Middle School. The parade will start at 10 a.m.

The parade route starts at Meramec Valley Middle School and travels east on Union Street for seven blocks, turns right on First Street and travels one block south, turns right on West St. Louis Street and travels five blocks west, turns right on Sixth Street and travels one block north, and then turns left on Union Street and travels west two blocks back to Meramec Valley Middle School.
