The Pacific Park Board elected new officers at its May 7 meeting.
Heather Filley, former Ward 3 alderman, was elected president. Joe Gildehaus was elected vice president and Bret Rossomanno was elected secretary.
Terms for the officers are for one year.
The election culminated the role of former president Stephen Flannery III on the park board, who served on the board for nine years and as president for eight years.
Mayor Steve Myers tapped Flannery to serve on the Industrial Development Authority at the May 15 board of aldermen meeting.
Filley said she’s looking forward to leading the park board.
“My objective is to pick up where Steve left off, and continue discussions on those projects that were already being discussed,” she said. “I also welcome new ideas, and will continue to work to make our parks inviting to the community and visitors alike.”
