The Pacific Area Chamber of Commerce will use its March luncheon meeting to provide a platform for candidates seeking office in the April 3 municipal election.
Tiffany Wilson, Chamber executive director, announced the event at the Feb. 22 meeting.
The candidate forum will take place during the Thursday, March 22, Chamber luncheon meeting at the Tri-County Senior Center, 800 W. Union. The meeting will begin at noon.
Fourteen candidates have filed for city seats, including three for mayor, three for city collector, one for police chief, one for municipal judge and two for each of the three aldermanic wards.
“This will be a meet and greet,” Wilson said. “The candidates won’t answer questions during the presentation, but each candidate will be given three minutes to introduce themselves.”
Wilson also said she hopes candidates would be available to talk with patrons following the meeting.
