Author Ann Hazelwood, of St. Charles, who has penned more than a dozen books centered on quilts, will join the Scenic Regional Library book club discussion Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m.

The group will talk about Hazelwood’s new book, “For the Love of Quilts,” the first in her new series Wine Country Quilts.

A prolific author who has written a variety of fiction and nonfiction works, Hazelwood also is an avid quilter.

Working as a quilt shop owner for a number of years, Hazelwood immersed herself in the craft, learning as much as she could about it. In 1979, she started the quilt supply store Patches, followed by the Patches Button Shoppe, and the Patches Craft Center.

In 2008, she sold Patches to focus entirely on writing and traveling.

She will have copies of her new book for sale, “Lily Girl’s Christmas Quilt.”

Coffee and desserts will be available.

To RSVP, call 636-257-2712, register online at www.scenic regional or stop by the Pacific Branch, 111 Lamar Parkway.
