Two Pacific police officers were commended at a recent board of aldermen meeting for their swift work in tracking down two suspects and recovering items stolen in a string of overnight car break-ins.
Sgt. Rodney Backus and Officer Harvey Nowak were called to a residence at 4 a.m. Feb. 3 when a resident went to his vehicle to leave for work and discovered that his car had been broken into.
