A Pacific manufacturer will expand its Dailey Industrial Park building for the third time to keep pace with growth.

Continental Products, located at 6 Midwest Drive, manufactures custom chemical compounds, adhesives and sealants for other manufacturers in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Mexico and China.

The firm wants to construct a 3,000-square-foot accessory building.

Aldermen approved construction of the new facility at their March 4 board meeting.

Bob Van Allen, who owns the business, said he currently has eight employees.

Van Allen moved his company to an existing 13,000-square-foot building in the Dailey Industrial Park in 1988.

Following growth, the firm has made two additions to its manufacturing space — a 4,000-square-foot and 2,000-square-foot addition.

The facility is set up to fill and package a variety of sizes of small packets, 1-ounce, 4-ounce, 8-ounce squeeze tubes and bottles, as well as 16-ounce caulking cartridges, pints, quarts, 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums. The firm also does product design and private labeling.

“We recently added two employees and we’re out of space,” Allen said.

The additional manufacturing space will enable the firm to add two more employees in the future.

“We also will add new equipment,” Van Allen said.
