Well, the kids are all going back to school before long, and I hope it cools off a little for them.

The museum is open every day Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m., so come by and see us.

My daughter Jeannie takes care of the veterans, and she has gotten several of the widows and families of the veterans who do not have a veteran plaque or stone, which they are all entitled to. Anyone who would like their veteran to have a plaque or stone should contact the funeral home that they were at about getting a plaque.

They will need a copy of the veterans’ discharge papers.

She has made several widows and families happy. If you have any questions, please call Jeannie at the museum, 636-257-5652.

Veterans Day is not until November but the museum will be sponsoring a Veterans Parade Saturday, Nov. 9, in Pacific. If there are any veterans, veterans group or anyone else who would like to have a float or to participate in the parade please call the museum at 636-257-5652.

The museum is collecting small ink jet printer cartridges and laser jet printer cartridges for recycle. You can drop them by the museum or call the museum, 636-257-5652, and we will pick them up.

Be happy.
