A Pacific man has been charged with one felony count of burglary stemming from a late August arrest.
Wade Coker, 30, was charged with first-degree burglary and one court of misdemeanor theft/stealing.
Coker was charged Friday, Feb. 3, in Franklin County Circuit Court. On Feb. 7, his bond was amended to $25,000 with special conditions including no contact with the victims.
Police said officers responded to the 700 block of West Union for a report of suspicious activity behind the building. When officers arrived, a male and a female fled the area.
Police located a couple matching the description of the suspicious people in the 300 block of Thornton Street. During a search, police said a debit card and “large amount” of jewelry were located.
Pacific police said it determined both the card and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 900 block of Thornton Street.
Coker and the woman were arrested. Pacific police said charges are still pending against the woman.
