Works by local folk artist Dee Dann will be on display at the Old New Haven School, 810 Maupin Ave., Sunday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dann was born Dec. 4, 1930, and passed away June 11, 2001, at 70 years old.

Hosted by the Friends of the New Haven Library, the event will feature more than 30 works by Dann, whose vibrant folk art celebrates life in New Haven during the 1800s.

During the one-day event, people also will be able to visit the bed and breakfast that was Dee’s home, Miller’s Landing Bed and Breakfast, to view her murals. The bed and breakfast is located at 111 Main St.

A freewill donation will be accepted to support the Friends of the New Haven Library and for furnishings for the new library.
