Washington has its first new city engineer in 23 years.
John Nilges, 29, replaces Dan Boyce, who will be retiring next month. Boyce has held the position since Feb. 1, 1993.
Monday night, Washington City Council members unanimously approved Mayor Sandy Lucy’s appointment of Nilges.
