Two county residents were seriously injured Wednesday, July 4, in a head-on crash on Highway 100 east of New Haven.
Kendrick A. Johnson, 31, Washington, was driving a 2002 Buick Century westbound on Highway 100 at 12:26 p.m. that crossed the center line and struck the front a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo driven eastbound by Amber L. Gardner, 27, Berger, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report.
Both drivers were flown to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by air ambulance.
It is not known if Johnson was wearing a safety device. Gardner was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
The crash occurred east of Industrial Drive.
