The Washington School District will switch over to a new vendor to provide electronic employee records, paperless hiring, and customized options to market its Blue Jay brand.

The school board approved a contract June 27 with TalentEd which offered “bundle pricing” for multiple solutions. The cost is $11,200, plus a one-time consultant fee of $6,000.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Rachael Franssen said the district currently uses Frontline which has no options for customization, and all hiring is completed using a paper process.

Franssen said due to some recent policy changes and new department goals, she started researching other solutions and TalentEd offered the most comprehensive solution.
