Clark-Vitt Elementary recently collected school supplies for victims of the recent natural disasters on the Gulf Coast.
The supplies in total weighed 576 pounds filling 35 boxes with supplies such as pencils, notebooks, binder, backpacks, etc.
The supplies are heading to Golden Terrace Elementary in Naples, Fla. The school was used as a shelter for Hurricane Irma and many of their students lost everything.
United Bank of Union donated $200 to help cover the shipping costs.
Gateway Pallet donated the pallet and allowed the school to use its facility for pickup.
Chad Scott and his logistics connections are responsible for making the shipping happen both by connecting the school with a truck to haul/deliver it and a personal donation to cover part of the shipping costs.
Woodard Restoration and Cleaning also helped with shipping costs.
