A woman is facing driving while intoxicated charges after her vehicle struck two parked cars and then rolled over on Stafford Street early Sunday morning.

Washington police were called to the 300 block of Stafford Street at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, for a report of a rollover crash. Officers found a car on its passenger side diagonally across the road.

A woman and two other people were spotted outside the car. The two people said they helped remove the woman from the car.

The woman, a 31-year-old from Washington, originally told police she was not the driver of the vehicle. She said she had blacked out prior to the crash and, when she came to, the car was on its side and the driver was nowhere to be found.

The woman later admitted she had been driving. Police said her blood alcohol level was more than two times the legal limit.

Police said charges are pending against the woman. Her name is being withheld until she is charged.
