A Union man was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance stemming from a traffic stop in late March.

Chad A. Blincoe, 23, was charged in Franklin County Associate Circuit Court Thursday, Aug. 24. Prosecutors requested a $10,000 bond.

According to Union police, a vehicle Blincoe was in was stopped on West State Street just before 1 a.m. March 27, for driving with no headlights on.

During the stop, officers siezed heroin, methamphetamine, paraphernalia and a small amount of cash.

Three of the four occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody, police said, and all occupants confessed to possession of a controlled substance. According to police, one occupant also confessed to distribution.
