A Union area man was arrested Wednesday after a foot pursuit with a Franklin County deputy.

Charges are being sought against Bobby J. Pedrotti, 49, for assault on a law enforcement officer, property damage and resisting arrest.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to the 4000 Block of Little Tavern Road, Labadie, Wednesday after learning there may be suspects inside the home with active felony warrants.

When deputies arrived Pedrotti fled from the home into the woods. A deputy and Pedrotti fell down a deep embankment during a foot pursuit.

The deputy received minor injuries in the fall and arrested Pedrotti, who had active warrants for probation violation, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple traffic warrants.

Pedrotti was on supervised probation for a 2015 possession of controlled substance charge. In Feburary 2017, he was placed on five years’ supervised probation as part of the suspended execution sentence (s.e.s).
