Authorities seized cash and over 90 grams of methamphetamine in the possession of two Franklin County brothers.

A Franklin County felony complaint was issued Monday, Nov. 27, charging Tyler K. Kittrell, 31, St. Clair, and Trent K. Kittrell Jr., 34, Pacific, with drug trafficking in the second degree.

The men are being held in the Franklin County Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.

According to a probable cause statement filed by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Trent Kittrell was driving a vehicle Sunday, Nov. 26, that was stopped for an equipment violation in St. Clair.

A K-9 Unit assigned to St. Clair police alerted officers that drugs were in the vehicle. Tyler Kittrell was a passenger in the vehicle.

Under the passenger seat of the vehicle authorities located more than 90 grams of meth. There was a “large amount” of cash located in the glove compartment, according to the probable cause statement.

Tyler Kittrell was serving a probation sentence from a 2015 second-degree drug trafficking charge.

Earlier this year, Trent Kittrell was given probation on a felony drug possession charge from 2014.
