Two people were arrested at a Gray Summit hotel after emergency crews responded for a smoke alarm sounding.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy responded to the Daniel Boone Inn Hotel to assist Boles Fire crews.
Authorities allege Michael Koening, Gray Summit, and Jill Frederich, Jefferson County, both 34, were allegedly acting suspicious. The deputy ran a background check which showed felony probation violation warrants for their arrest.
A search of the room where the suspects were staying yielded narcotics, as well as drug paraphernalia. Once the suspects were arrested and brought to the Franklin County Adult Jail, a female deputy located suspected heroin on Frederich.
Charges will be sought against felony possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and delivery of a controlled substance into a detention facility, according to the sheriff’s department.
Charges of felony narcotics possession and possession of drug paraphernalia will be sought against Koening, authorities said.
