A Pacific man was charged after Franklin County deputies seized 10 grams of meth at Robertsville State Park.
Alex B. Cassler, 36, was charged Thursday, May 3, in Franklin County Associate Circuit Court with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
According to the probable cause statement issued by Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, while investigating a stealing report May 3, Cassler was located camping at the park. A deputy found drug paraphernalia inside his vehicle.
Authorities also seized a glass pipe and large plastic bag with a substantial amount of suspected meth, and a smaller bag inside the larger bag also containing the drug, according to the probable cause statement.
The items were found under the driver’s seat where Cassler was seated.
Under the suspect’s hat, the deputy found suspected meth. Cassler was also in possession of a scale, authorities allege.
Cassler is being held in the Franklin County Jail on a $15,000 cash-only bond.
