An estimated $7,000 worth of merchandise was taken from Dick’s Sporting Goods, Washington, Thursday afternoon.

Washington police said multiple people went into Dick’s Thursday, Feb. 8, at around 3:20 p.m. A group of men and women shoved a number of items into black trash bags.

With a member of the group holding the door, the group left the store and got into a vehicle. The dark-colored vehicle had its rear license plate covered.

The vehicle was last seen heading east on Highway 100.

The incident is similar to a case from late December.

On Dec. 26, a suspect grabbed an “armload” of North Face brand coats and ran out the front door just after 2:30 p.m.

It is believed the suspect took about 10 coats in that case. Each coat was valued at $99, police said.

In that case, police said two men were spotted in the store, but only one took the coats. However, police said witnesses saw both men enter the same car.

The two men got into a Chevrolet HHR. There were two other people, a man and a woman, in the car waiting for the men.
