A felony warrant has been issued for a Jefferson County woman accused of stealing more than $1,500 cash.
Devin Corrigan, 19, Hillsboro, was charged this week with one count of felony theft of more than $500.
She is accused of stealing a wallet containing $1,595 in cash from a Washington area man.
The theft occurred Sept. 23, 2013, at a residence in the 2300 block of Highway A.
The victim told sheriff’s deputies that he let the woman stay at the home and when he woke up the next morning he discovered his wallet was gone.
Investigators later learned that the suspect had called for a cab and paid the driver with a $100 bill.
Corrigan was arrested later and questioned but denied taking the money, according to reports.
A judge ordered a $20,000 bond in the case.
