A Washington man was seriously injured Wednesday when the pickup he was in was struck and then overturned in St. Charles County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report, Zachary J. Cooper, 26, Washington, was a passenger in a 1995 Ford Ranger driven westbound by Jacob R. Langdon, 25, O’Fallon, on Highway P in St. Charles County.
The Langdon truck attempted to make a left turn onto Guthrie Road at 7:30 a.m. when it was struck by a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze driven eastbound by Lauren E. Williams, 24, St. Charles. The Langdon vehicle then struck a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Kelly M. Moore, 32, St. Peters. The truck overturned, the patrol said.
Cooper was taken to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles, by St. Charles County Ambulance. He was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
