A Washington man was killed Monday, Nov. 13, when he was ejected from the car he was driving on Bluff Road.
Tyler D. Clines, 19, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt at an excessive speed northbound on Bluff Road at Struckhoff Road at 4:35 p.m. when he lost control of the car over a hill, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report.
The car crossed the centerline, then traveled back into the northbound lane. The vehicle skidded off the right side of the road and overturned several times ejecting Clines, the patrol said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:08 p.m.
Passengers Brandon L. Kleinheider, 20, and Jacob S. Siebert, 21, sustained minor injuries in the crash and were transported to Mercy Hospital Washington. Kleinheider was transported by private conveyance and Siebert was transported by Washington Ambulance, according to the patrol.
Clines was taken to the St. Louis County Morgue by Russell Colonial Funeral Home.
Neither Clines nor the two passengers were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
