Tonya A. Reed, 30, Bland, was charged Thursday in Franklin County Associate Circuit Court with stealing a motor vehicle.
Authorities allege that Reed stole a truck Wednesday from a home in Pacific while her three children were in vehicle. The children were found safe in Union later that day.
Three children were found safe in Union Wednesday night after their mother took them in a suspected stolen truck from a Pacific home.
An endangered person advisory was issued to law enforcement agencies Wednesday for Tiara Reed, 8, Teagan Reed, 6, and Tucker Reed, 1, who were taken by their mother, Tonya Reed, following a Missouri Division of Family Services supervised visitation, according to reports.
Franklin County Sheriff Steve Pelton said deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a home in the 4000 block of Clay Drive, Pacific, at 5 p.m. He said the parents of the children are legally separated and their mother left the home driving a suspected stolen truck.
The children were in the truck following the visit, but before to the alleged theft of the truck.
St. Louis County deputies located the stolen vehicle at Rockwood Range Conservation area. The investigation led police to a residence in the Valley Park area, however, the female and children had already left that home in a different vehicle.
The investigation then led to a house in Union where Union police located the second vehicle, Pelton said.
Deputies and Union police canvassed the area and located the female and all three children. The female was taken into custody on suspicion of stealing a motor vehicle, authorities said.
