The Franklin County Bicentennial Commission and 1818 Corporation is seeking submissions for a logo and slogan contest as part of the upcoming celebration of the county’s 200th birthday.

The deadline for submissions to be received is 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15.

Franklin County artists age 14 or older are invited to participate in the bicentennial and to receive recognition for their artwork, the committee said.

A monetary prize of $200 will be awarded to the individual who submits the best logo and slogan.

The contest is open not only to students, but to adults who are county residents. Students can be in public, private or parochial schools or be homeschooled.

A committee of judges is being formed and precautions are in place to assure the judges will not know the identity of the participants and the participants will not know who the judges are.
