A St. Clair man who was looking into the windows of a Villa Ridge residence Friday, March 2, was charged for drug possession.

Jared M. Queen, 39, was charged in Franklin County Circuit Court with two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He is being held in the Franklin County Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Queen was seen looking in the windows of a residence and outbuilding located in the 300 block of Old Highway 100 in Villa Ridge.

Prior to the deputies’ arrival, Queen walked away from the residence after being told to leave the property several times by the homeowner. Deputies located him walking nearby.

Authorities said Queen told deputies he did not know how he arrived in the area, nor did he know where he was or where he was going.

During the investigation, deputies found controlled substances in his possession.

Queen is on parole for tampering with a motor vehicle.

In 2009, Queen was charged with two felony counts of first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and misdemeanor resisting arrest. He was sentenced to 10 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
