A Pacific woman was killed Tuesday evening after she ran into traffic on Interstate 70 and was struck by three vehicles.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report, Amanda M. Greer, 30, ran into westbound traffic on I-70 in St. Charles at 6 p.m. and she was struck by the right front side of a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Michelle M. Wright, 30, Wentzville, who said she did not see Greer.
The impact caused Greer to be thrown into a different lane of traffic where she was struck by a 1991 Ford F-150 driven by Randy Andrews, 61, Foristell; and a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Marisa L. Wiffler, 24, Warrenton.
According to the patrol, neither Andrews nor Wiffler were able to react in time to avoid striking Greer. She was pronounced dead at 6:08 p.m. by a St. Charles medical examiner.
Greer was taken to the St. Louis County Morgue by Lonning Mortuary Services.
