Pinckney Bend Distillery in New Haven announces that the company has for the first time exceeded $1 million in annual sales revenue.

Pinckney Bend opened for business in November of 2011 with a gin product, which it marketed directly to retailers.

Today, the company has a portfolio of 15 products, and is represented by distributors in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas.

“I’d like to thank our customers, fans and employees for helping us reach this important milestone,” said Jerome Meyer, president. “We feel equal parts pride and humility at crossing the million-dollar annual revenue line. The craft distilling industry is growing as fast as we are, and the next five years is going to be even more exciting.”

When Pinckney Bend began business five years ago there were 230 licensed distilleries in the U.S. Today, that number exceeds 1,300.

Craft spirits represent about 1.7 percent of the American spirits market, and this number has doubled in the past two years. Craft spirits market share is expected to hit 8 percent by 2020.
