Traffic on the Warren County side of the Highway 47 Missouri River bridge will be shifted tonight to allow crews to build the road to connect to the new bridge.

In order to make the shift, crews will close down one lane of traffic on Highway 47 starting at 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 1.

When the lane reopens at 5 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, traffic on the Warren County side of the bridge will be shifted to the east. The traffic switch will remain in place until the new bridge opens later this year.

All work is weather permitting. For more information on the bridge project, go to www.modot.org/stlouis/major_projects/Route47MissouriRiverBridge/.
