A Sullivan man has been charged with murder following an altercation with his brother Thursday, April 13, at a home Sullivan.
Thomas "T.J." Easter II, 35, was charged Friday in Franklin County Associate Circuit Court with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of his brother John Easter, 32, Leasburg.
T.J. Easter is being held in the Franklin County Jail on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
According to Sullivan police, officers were dispatched to a home in the 600 block of East Vine Street around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police allege that T.J. Easter shot his brother with a handgun following an altercation between the two men.
An EMS crew treated John Easter at the scene before he was transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital, Sullivan, where he later died.
