Missouri Conservation agents are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for illegally dumping used motor oil into the Bourbeuse River outside Union.
An environmental clean-up was in progress at the Reiker Ford Conservation Area access outside Union Tuesday morning.
The crews were mitigating about 20 gallons of used motor oil that was discovered dumped in the river from a 55-gallon steel drum.
Conservation agent Ben Pursley says the barrel was discovered Saturday evening and urges anyone with information to contact him directly at 636-744-2974.
