Registration for fall semester classes at East Central College is still underway.

To accommodate new and returning students, the college will hold a special registration session Saturday, June 28, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the main campus in Union.

Student services personnel in admissions, advisement, financial aid and registration will be available to assist students.

Potential new students can also take the placement test that morning. Staff will be on hand to assist students and families with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.

Cookie Hays, vice president of student development at ECC, reminds potential students who enroll in classes at the Saturday morning session that payment is not required that day.

“People can still apply for financial aid for the fall semester,” said Hays. “We also have a payment plan option so students can spread the cost out over several months.”

Tuition for in-district students is $95 per credit hour. The rate for out-of-district students is $130 per credit hour.

Some courses also have additional lab and technology fees.

To reserve a spot at the placement test, people may call 636-584-6588.

Food, refreshments and door prizes will be provided during the event. Those attending also can register to win an Apple iPad mini.

Fall classes begin Wednesday, Aug. 13, at all ECC locations.
