Memorial bricks for the Angel of Hope Garden in Washington must be purchased by Feb. 28 to be placed during the spring installation.
The garden is a quiet place where parents, grandparents, other relatives and friends can go to reflect, mourn and remember children who have died. The garden is for people throughout the region.
People who purchase bricks can have them inscribed with a deceased child’s name or an inspirational message. The cost is $125 per brick.
So far, about 70 bricks have already been placed, and about 50 more have been purchased.
The spring installation will take place in March and a dedication for those who have purchased bricks will be held sometime in April or May. Details will be announced at a later date.
A fall installation will be held in September. The annual candlelight vigil will be held in December.
Those wanting to buy bricks should visit the Washington Parks and Recreation office where they can obtain a form to fill out. Forms also can be emailed. For more information, people may call Robin, 636-231-4081.
