Franklin County deputies are asking for the public's help in locating two people who broke into a home southeast of Union Friday morning.

The burglary occurred shortly before 9 a.m. at a home on East Denmark Road, the sheriff's office said.

The owner of the home said he stopped by the residence to feed animals and as he was walking to the barn he saw a man and a woman run from the back of the home into a wooded area.

Deputies searched but did not locate the suspects who were last seen running in a southeasterly direction toward the Interstate 44 North Service Road.

Nothing appeared to be missing from the home, but food was taken from a kitchen cabinet and left on a table.

The property owner wasn't able to provide a good description of the suspects.

Anyone with information about the couple is asked to call the sheriff's office at 636-583-2560.

Callers who request can remain anonymous.
