Habitat for Humanity Seeking Partner Family for Rehabbed Home

Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County is seeking applicants to apply for a rehabbed home in Union.

Applications are available at Scenic Regional Library, Union, or by calling the Habitat office, 636-583-1020.

Applications also may be requested by mail at Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County, P.O. Box 178, Union. They also can be downloaded at franklincountymohabitat.com.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Applicants must have a need for housing and be unable to obtain conventional financing due to limited income.

Applicants must have enough income to repay the Habitat mortgage and monthly living expenses, and must have an acceptable credit history and qualify for a USDA loan.

Applicants must be willing to partner with Habitat which includes working at least 300 hours for new homes and 75 hours on rehabbed homes.

Applicants must be willing to undergo a criminal background check. This does not automatically disqualify an applicant for consideration.

Applicants must fall within the annual income guidelines listed below: one person, $19,400 to $24,650; two persons, $22,200 to $28,200; three persons, $24,950 to $31,700; four persons, $27,700 to $35,200; five persons, $29,950 to $38,050; six persons, $32,150 to $40,850; seven persons, $34,350 to $43,650; eight persons, $36,600 to $46,500.

Applications are due Sept. 1.
