Three Seriously Hurt in Crash East of New Haven

Three people were seriously injured Saturday morning in a collision on Highway 100, east of New Haven. 

The 11:09 a.m. crash involved a westbound 2006 Ford Escape driven by Keith B. Koeller, 37, Hermann, and a westbound 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Patricia A. Zamenski, 69, Berger, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

The collision happened when the Koeller vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the front of the Zamenski vehicle, according to the preliminary patrol report. 

Koeller and Zamenski were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, Creve Coeur. 

A passenger in the Koeller vehicle, Jami L. Mikel, 32, Montgomery City, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington. 

Zamenski was wearing a safety belt. Koeller and Mikel were not, according to the patrol report.
