Two Robertsville-area residents who authorities said admitted to a burglary were arrested Monday night after they were found in their home.

According to information from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the individuals, a man and a woman, allegedly burglarized a residence in Kober’s Trailer Park south of Pacific. Their names are being withheld pending formal charges.

Both the man and woman are white and 23 years old. Both have prior felony convictions.

At about 3:25 p.m. on Monday, deputies responded to the mobile home park for a reported burglary that had just occurred. A witness in the area reported seeing the male and female subjects removing a large, flat-screen television from a home.

The reporting party provided a detailed description of the suspects and their vehicle.

The sheriff’s office stated that further investigation yielded possible identities of suspects from the Robertsville area. These suspects’ photographs then were positively identified by the witness at the scene.

At about 10:50 p.m. Monday, deputies located the man and woman at their residence south of Robertsville. The suspects admitted to the burglary and were arrested.

During their questioning, the duo said after removing the television, they immediately drove to St. Louis and traded it for heroin.

The sheriff’s office said the man has five prior felony charges and three felony convictions. He is currently on probation/parole for burglary and stealing.

The woman has 22 prior felony charges with 12 prior felony convictions.
