Four new requests for conditional use permits are on the agenda for the Franklin County Planning and Zoning board Tuesday, May 21.

The board will meet at 7 p.m. in the second floor commission chambers at the Franklin County Government Center.

On the agenda is a request from Havin Material Service to extract/excavate sand and gravel from the Meramec River at 373 Bruns Bridge Court off Mill Hill Road, approximately one mile north of the intersection of Mill Hill and Bethel Church roads.

This is the second request this year from Havin for a CUP for a sand and gravel operation.

Despite numerous objections from nearby residents, Havin was granted a CUP March 19 to excavate/extract sand and gravel from 137 acres of property on Sullivan Bottom Road, about 1.1 miles from Project Road in Prairie Township.

Also on the agenda is from the Gardens at Malmaison for a CUP to host special periodic events on 7.5 acres located on St. Albans Road just north of Studio Inn Road in Boles Township and a separate request for the same from Homac Farms, Inc.

Homac Farms is located off Thornton Road, just northwest of Orr Street in Township 43 North.

Douglas Monzyk also has requested a CUP to operate an auto body repair shop on 5.02 acres located on Whiskey Creek Road, just north of Fawn Drive in Township 43 North.

Under old business, the board could make a decision whether or not to grant a CUP to Rich McDaniel, who last month presented his plans to the board for an indoor shooting range at his current archery range located at 4785 St. Ann Road in Township 44 North. No public comments will be accepted on the matter.

The board also will hear a request for preliminary plat approval from Summer Hill Estates subdivision on Watermill Drive near Summer Hill Lane off Highway A.

The proposed plat, which will begin Phase 2 of the construction, includes 32 lots of various sizes up to 27,500 square feet.
