The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in tracking down vandals who damaged a large number of rural mailboxes along Bluff Road Friday night and early Saturday morning.
Deputies were called to one residence on Bluff Road about 7:14 a.m. Saturday to a report of a mailbox damaged. Witnesses reported hearing a vehicle playing loud music in the area about 1 a.m. going up and down the road, the sheriff’s office reported.
While checking the area, deputies found approximately 26 other mailboxes damaged along the road.
Anyone with information or who may have observed suspicious activity in the area is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 636-583-2560.
Callers can remain anonymous if they request it, according to the report.
