The East Central College Board of Trustees approved the hiring of three new staff members to fill two vacant and one new position at the Monday, June 10, board meeting.

Trustees approved hiring Tammy Stowe as coordinator of manufacturing outreach.

The new position will be funded through the Missouri Manufacturing WINS grant.

Stowe has served as executive director of the Union Area of Chamber of Commerce since 2002.

Prior to that she was a grant administrator for the city from 2000 to 2001.

Stowe is an ECC alumna who went on to DePaul University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce.

Tina Brueggemann, a specialist in the ECC Learning Center since 2010, was hired to coordinate testing services.

Brueggemann has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics/secondary education from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.

Prior to working at ECC, she taught in the Rockwood School District and at St. John the Baptist School in Villa Ridge.

Goldie Gildehaus will be the new student activities coordinator.

Gildehaus has been a retention/career specialist at ECC for the past four years.

Prior to her career at the college, she worked five years as an assistant director of marketing and leadership at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and was assistant director of student activities at Missouri State University, Springfield.

Gildehaus has an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from MSU.

The board also accepted a resignation from Megen Poynter, admissions director, effective June 14
