A Washington man charged with burglary and assault in Warren County is now facing a new felony charge related to that case.
Thain T. Timmerberg, 32, Washington, was charged last March with one count of first-degree burglary and one count of second-degree domestic assault. Authorities allege that he broke into a home in Warrenton March 5 and assaulted a woman, identified in a warrant as A.M., then brought her to his apartment on Jefferson Street in Washington where he later was arrested by police.
Warren County authorities filed a new charge this week against Timmerberg for allegedly threatening the woman about testifying against him in the earlier case.
The suspect was scheduled to appear in court May 13 in the original case.
The victim told police that Timmerberg warned her against testifying against him and that he then assaulted her, according to a probable cause statement.
Police reported that the victim’s right eye was bruised and swollen and that she had yellow bruising on her upper left arm.
Timmerberg was taken into custody Monday, May 13.
Bond in the original case was set at $35,000.
A $10,000 bond was ordered in the felony charge of tampering with a victim, according to reports.
