Single-family home permits are up this year over last.

Through July, there have been 56 permits issued for single-family home construction compared to 50 in the same time period last year.

This July, there were seven single-family home permits issued with a total value of $1.6 million.

In July, the county also issued five permits for nonresidential additions/modifications valued at $1.6 million. All of those permits were for projects at Purina Farms, including an equine building valued at $711,000; a second equine building, $244,000; a companion building, $512,000; a second companion building, $161,000; and an addition to a tractor shed, $18,000.
