ECC Launches New Online Transcript Ordering Service
Students and alumni of East Central College now have the capability to go online to order their college transcript. The new system allows users to order official transcripts via the Web at any time.
In one online session, students or alumni can order as many transcripts as they like, using any major credit card. Transcript ordering can be accessed from a link on ECC’s main webpage, www.eastcentral.edu.
Registration for the service is free; users pay only for transcripts ordered. Those who submit transcript requests receive real-time order updates by email. They also can track their orders online following a purchase and have the option to receive instant mobile text alerts.
Karen Wieda, registrar at ECC, noted that East Central expects its students and alumni to greatly benefit from the convenient and secure transactions.
“Our users will have immediate, secure electronic transcript delivery worldwide,” Wieda said. “One of the nicest features is the ability to order multiple transcripts to be sent to multiple recipients in one (transaction).”
An additional fee of $15 will be incurred for rush orders. Such orders can be picked up at the college.
Students and alumni still have access to copies of unofficial ECC transcripts at no cost via eCentral, a web-based portal to the community college’s network services, according to Weida.
Those with questions regarding the new ordering process may call 636-584-6556 or email: studentservices@eastcentral.edu.
ECC’s transcript ordering service is provided through the National Student Clearinghouse, a nonprofit organization serving the higher education community. More information on the Clearinghouse is available at www.studentclearinghouse.org.
