Two people wanted on outstanding felony warrants were captured Wednesday night at a home south of Beaufort, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office reported.

For the last three weeks, law enforcement officers had been looking for Robert Cannon, 29, Hermann, and Bridgette LaChance, 20, Pacific, at several locations.

Deputies received information Wednesday evening that the two suspects were at a home off Highway 185 and had been seen in a black Pontiac with two other people.

Sheriff’s deputies and Missouri Highway Patrol troopers went to the scene and arrived as Cannon was backing out of the driveway, according to the report.

Cannon attempted to flee in the car, but the vehicle got stuck in brush near a wooded area and the suspect fled on foot, leaving the other three people in the car.

The sheriff’s office said deputies caught Cannon after about a 200-yard foot chase.

Other officers took LaChance and the other two people  — 40-year-old Bradley J. Hubble, Union, and Victoria K. Hansen, 20, of the House Springs area — into custody.

Inside the car they found drug paraphernalia and some suspected methamphetamine, according to the report.

Cannon was arrested on outstanding felony charges of first-degree tampering and parole violation. LaChance was arrested on active warrants charging her with unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.

Hubble and Hansen were charged later with felony hindering prosecution in the investigation, according to authorities.
