A Franklin County man was seriously hurt Wednesday evening in a collision on Highway 100 near Villa Ridge.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Bruce R. Houser, 57, Labadie, was driving a 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was struck by an eastbound 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Alexsandra R. Heigl, 38, Pacific.

Heigl was making a left turn from eastbound Highway 100, just east of Highway M, and failed to yield to the westbound motorcycle, according to the preliminary patrol report.

Houser, who was ejected by the impact, was taken by Meramec Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with apparent serious injuries, the patrol said. Heigl was not injured, according to the report.

The crash happened about 6:47 p.m.
