The East Central College Board of Trustees Monday approved the appointment of one new faculty member and the promotion of one staff member.

Erin Anglin, associate director of ECC’s Learning Center since 2010, was promoted to director of that department effective July 21.

A graduate of ECC, Anglin went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and a master’s degree in counseling from Missouri Baptist University.

Anglin has worked at East Central since 2004 when she was hired as a specialist in the Learning Center.

Kevin Menos will be a new member of the math faculty this fall.

Menos attended Saint Louis University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary school mathematics and a master’s degree in math.

Since August 2012 he has been a math instructor/graduate teaching assistant at SLU.

He also was a summer school math teacher at Parkway Central High School in 2012-’13.

Trustees also approved the promotion in rank of one faculty member.

Achieving assistant professor status is Nancy Mitchell, a nursing instructor at ECC since 2005.
