A Franklin County man is facing a felony charge after allegedly threatening to kill his brother last week.
Kenneth E. Haberberger, 51, was released from the county jail after posting a $35,000 bond.
Haberberger is charged with one count of unlawful use of a weapon in an incident Wednesday, June 4, at his residence on Old County Farm Road.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by neighbors, relatives of Haberberger, who reported that the suspect had been yelling at them and had fired a handgun into a wooded area near the residence.
At one point, witnesses said, Haberberger pointed the gun at his brother and allegedly threatened to kill him and also allegedly pointed a knife at him.
Witnesses said the suspect stayed on his own property during the incident, the sheriff’s office reported.
The man’s brother later gave deputies a DVD from a surveillance camera that filmed the incident, according to the report.
